Livin' back east...but staying south!

Hello everyone! Sorry so long, yet again, since my last post. Big big big changes have taken place in my life and I would like to tell you about some of them.

First, my move to Palm Harbor, FL (west of Tampa). Once again, I'm on the move. Since the end of 2006, I have moved from the east coast to the west coast to central US and now back to the east (where I belong. Ha) I didn't return to Richmond as I thought I would, but God led me to Florida to make my mark. Here, I will be working towards my goal to eventually open a gym for people with all types of physical limitations. I am working with the doctors who made my trip to Peru possible for my stem cell treatments. That is going to open up a wide array of opportunities to further myself in many ways.I will be working on my book here soon. I have been outlining the text and trying to ponder up all the different angles I could take with it.

My move to Florida also means my exit from Texas, and sadly my departure from Pressing On. I have been able to purchase a FES Cycle to continue my therapy while searching for a personal trainer and gym to train in. I have been fundraising to help pay off the expense of the bike. It was rather expensive but one of the most beneficial tools for recovery.

Oops! I must roll out for a lil bit. TBC...

Movin' to Palm Harbor, FL

Movin' to Palm Harbor, FL tomorrow, November 6th. Lara & Anthony (my sweet new friend from Tampa) and I hope to get on the road by noon, but we will see how that works out. We are packing my truck up tonight, well...Lara and Anthony are actually doing the packing of the truck, and I'm supervising there bickering. Its great fun! I'm so lucky to have both of them here sharing this fun moving experience with me *sarcastically, but thankfully* They are great for sure though! I'll update when we get there! Until then... see ya later!

Signing out from San Antonio, TX... and soon from Palm Harbor, FL

Always a lesson to be learned...in all situations.

I've learned...that the Lord didn't do it all in one day.
What makes me think I can? Patience is a virtue. Plus, the "fight" is only making me stronger, inside and out! One thing I would suggest though if I may, (and I heard this from a friend of mine so I can't take the credit). another prayer we can add to the list, is for god to start making people with two spinal cords so when one gets injured...

there's a back-up!!! Lol.like a lizard... Now, there's a thought! haha! bye

Just a tip for my future facility... What I have learned over the past 2 years is that a smaller company can be both a good thing and bad thing. As a client, it is nice to have a smaller group in the gym because it is easier to feel at home and comfortable, while also making it feel like family. As an employee, it is nice to be able to work together on things and there is less of a chance of little "clicks" forming. On the other hand, a smaller facility means more gossip, in a way. People become close with each other and the need for professionalism, respect and confidentiality becomes more important, both for the staff and clients. When you feel at ease with people, you tend to tell them more and lets just face it, people are going to talk. No one really likes to be talked about, especially if it is about something negative or personal to that person, but the majority of people in this world like gossip. Ill stop there, but all in all...

NOTE TO SELF: Don't discuss client issues around other clients. Keep it professional and only discuss issues involving clients and staff behind closed doors or in the appropriate setting.

My thought for 4/28: Good things come to those who are willing to work for it!!! Have Hope & Always Believe anything is possible when you can hand it over to God. Once you realize that you are not in control, God can take over and lead you to victory!!! Keep God first!
