Prayer
is a Power Thing!
![]() As a Christian, I believe in the power of prayer. Putting situations, good and bad, into God's Hands, and realizing that we are not in control, leads to a light of Hope for more. Please keep these people in your prayers: Having a disability is never easy, whether physical or mental. I gotta tell ya, there are some people in this world that are just plain rude and/or oblivious to other people who are not, so called "normal." On the other hand, there are some people that have so much care and compassion for those of us who are, what I like to call, "special." We are still people; We still have feelings just like anyone else. Everyone has something special within them. Something that makes us unique. I chose to enjoy the differences between people. It makes life more interesting in my opinion. I am not saying that I love being in a wheelchair, but it makes me different. Yes, people are rude at times, and others have shown that there are really good people in this world. I pray that we will each take a "step" back in life and in society, and admire other's differences and also needs. Next time you see someone struggling to do something, whatever it is, Help them! Next time you see someone in a chair (or even someone carrying a large load) take a SECOND and help open the door for them. Have compassion for other people and it will be returned to you. Plus, for most of us, it feels good to help someone in need... So do it!
Please pray for the individuals who are fighting towards recovery from a spinal cord injury, or other neurological condition. The people I have come across over the past 4 years, who are fighting to walk again, have for sure been an inspiration to me. I feel so honored each time I get to hear someone's story and journey through life. Like I said, we each have something unique about us; Our own personal story. Through the sweat and tears, we each fight our battles and with prayer and with our minds & hearts in the right place, we can do anything! Pray for God's Hands to be mighty and miraculous as we battle down this road to recovery.
A good friend of mine is struggling with an addiction and is in the process of getting help. It is so easy to get wrapped up inthings we love, or grow to love, whether healthy or not. The definition of an addition is: the state of being enslaved to a habit or practice or to something that is psychologically or physically habit-forming to such an extent that its cessation causes severe trauma. So an addiction can be just about anything: food, shopping, drugs, alcohol, tobacco, sex, lying...the list could go on forever. Bottom line is, we let things take control over us sometimes in life and we get so involved with the "need" that others things lose importance. I pray for anyone that is struggling with any type of addiction at this time, especially my friend. Love you Friend! Another friend of mine needs your prayer. A few weeks ago she found out she was about 8 weeks pregnant. Unfortunately, she miscarried last week. It just wasn't time for her to have a lil' one, but she, of course, is upset. Please pray for her heart to be healed and for her tears to be minimal. Who can I pray for?

I have met some of the most awesome individuals over the past 4 years.
They each have their own unique story and I have felt honored each time I learn of a new one. Through mentoring, working
out, networking, myspace and giving my experience to others interested in stem cells... I have come in contact with several
people who need prayer for improved health and healing. Here is a list of the names of people that could use your prayer.
My suggestion: Just pick a few names and include them in a prayer to The Big Guy Upstairs. Or shoot, pray for each person
if ya desire...even better!!! |
