Home Sweet Home

After 3 years of traveling from coast to coast and experiencing several "good times" along the way, I'm headed back home to Richmond, VA.  I'm so thankful for all of the lessons that I learned during my journey, even though some of them were difficult lessons I learned the hard way. Sometimes I feel that is how I learn best, but as I mature into my "adultness" (as I like to call it) I know that my personal decisions are what steer the lessons and how hard they are...if that made any sense! HA! I've been away from "home" for just enough time and now I'm headed back to good ol' Richmond, VA, to continue this journey they call "life."

At this point, I've been back in Richmond for a little over a month. We made it back just in time to spend Thanksgiving and Christmas with my family. It was my first Thanksgiving home in 4 years, and I must say, it was a Blessing, For Sure!! My new home is in Bon Air, on the south side of Richmond or "over the river" (as we 'westenders' call it), which is a first for me. However, a little "FF" (Fun Fact) is that Bon Air is where my parents were living and where I spent the first year of my life. So, not only did I move back to my home town, but I now live no more than a mile from where my parents first started their lives together, and where I first lived when I came home from the hospital as a newborn. Its funny how things work out sometimes. There's no doubt that God had His hands in the timing and finding of my first home back in Richmond...and I am so very thankful.
